Mac and Cheese (BLW Friendly/Toddler)

Mac and Cheese (BLW Friendly/Toddler)

A creamy, comforting meal that’s both delicious and nutritious for your little one. This Baby Mac and Cheese is the perfect dish for introducing new flavors and textures in a safe and baby-friendly way.

Ingredients:
50g Fusilli (or any baby-friendly pasta)
200ml milk (breast milk or formula)
25g cream cheese (low sodium)
1 tsp corn flour
1/2 tsp Lilo Premium White Bait Powder
1/2 tsp Lilo Premium Pumpkin Powder

Instructions:

1. Boil the Pasta:
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the fusilli. Cook until the pasta is soft, or until your desired texture is achieved (usually around 12-15 minutes).
Drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Milk Mixture:
In a separate saucepan, gently heat the milk (breast milk or formula) over low heat until warm.
Add in the Lilo Premium White Bait Powder and Pumpkin Powder. Stir well until both powders are fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

3. Add the Cream Cheese:
Add the cream cheese to the milk mixture and stir until fully melted and combined. Add in corn flour. This will create a creamy base for your mac and cheese.

4. Combine the Pasta:
Add the cooked fusilli pasta to the milk and cheese mixture. Stir gently to coat the pasta with the creamy sauce.
Allow the pasta to cook for an additional minute, so it soaks up the flavors of the sauce.

5. Cool and Serve:
Let the baby mac and cheese cool down to a safe temperature before serving. Ensure it is not too hot for your baby’s sensitive mouth.

Nutritional Benefits:
Fusilli: Soft and easy to chew, providing carbs for energy, ideal for babies learning to self-feed.
Cream Cheese: Low in sodium, this adds a creamy texture while offering calcium for healthy bone development.
Lilo White Bait Powder: A natural source of calcium, protein, and omega-3s, promoting brain development and bone health.
Lilo Pumpkin Powder: Rich in vitamin A, fiber, and antioxidants, which help boost immunity and support digestion.

Serving Tips:
